CORNSTARCH FINGER PAINT
CORNSTARCH FINGER PAINT
(This finger paint has a smooth, thick texture and dries to an opaque finish.)
Materials needed: 3 tbs. sugar, ½ C cornstarch, 2 C cold water, 6 drops liquid dish soap, 12 drops food coloring.
Directions: Mix sugar, cornstarch and water in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for about 3 minutes (or until thick, making sure to stir every 30 seconds). Stir in liquid dish soap and food coloring. Cool and store in an airtight container.
To Use: Use as a fingerpaint with hands & fingers. You can also use this medium with paint brushes.
**Tips** 1) You may need to tape edges of paper onto table to prevent the paper from moving. 2) Tape a table cloth on the table for easier clean up.
