Tornado Tube Connector (Item #SP400)
Connect this tornado tube connector to two plastic pop bottles (fill one bottle with water).Turn the bottle up so the water is on top and give the bottles a swirl. Watch as the tornado (vortex) forms inside. You don’t always have to use water with your Tornado Tube Connectors. Use sand, salt, glitter, colored sand colored salt, liquid soap….instead of the water. Use these tornado tube connectors to create a mini timer with the mini bottles and a dry substance (glitter, salt, sand….). Release the bottle and watch the sea creature float back to the top. This experiment is based on water pressure and will bring hours of enjoyment to you and your children. Squeeze and hold the sides of the bottle and watch as the hook diver dives down. Try to hook the loop diver. Release the bottle and watch the hook diver float back to the top. This experiment is based on water pressure and will bring hours of enjoyment to you and your children. One and two liter plastic pop bottles work the best with the catch and hook diver.
